New Student Move-In

We are excited to welcome you to 色虎视频 for your move-in and fall orientation! To ensure a smooth transition, we will hold a comprehensive move-in day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Jason Gymnasium.
Orientation Week will begin with Move-In Day and continue until the start of classes. New students should arrive on campus for move-in and the kickoff to orientation week on August 13.
We encourage you to complete all tasks and use the resources below to have a successful move-in.

ROAR Orientation is mandatory for all new students (first-year and transfer students) as a continuation of summer registration.
Campus offices will be conveniently located in Jason Gym during check-in to help you handle your business.
Fall varsity athletes, band and choir members will arrive on Tuesday, August 5. You will check in from 8 a.m. to noon in the Scruggs University Center Ballroom, 819 Chestnut St.

Orientation leaders and volunteers will be on hand to help with your move-in, making your arrival as easy and welcoming as possible. We recommend that drivers stay with their vehicles to keep traffic flowing smoothly, while our helpers assist with unloading and moving your belongings.
For those arriving after 5:00 p.m., please note that you will need to move your belongings into your rooms and locate the scheduled events on your own. Be sure to bring all necessary items to facilitate a seamless start to your time at 色虎视频.

Check out the suggested list of items for students to bring when moving into the residence halls on the campus of 色虎视频. If you do not know your roommate, it's a good idea to contact each other before you arrive to coordinate what each of you is planning to bring and what can be shared in your room.

ROAR Orientation: Fall Welcome
ROAR Orientation: Fall Welcome at 色虎视频 kicks off on Move-In Day, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, and continues until the start of classes. New students will participate in the time-honored tradition of New Student Convocation, marking the official start of the fall semester.
ROAR Orientation aims to help new students connect with peers, navigate the 色虎视频 campus, interact with faculty, staff, and upper-division mentors, and develop pride in LU, their academic division, and their residential college.
