Lorenzo Johnston Greene Black History Month Celebration

The 2nd annual Lorenzo Johnston Greene Black History Month Celebration, presented by LU African American & Africana Studies (AAAS) program. Co-hosted by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. at 色虎视频 of Missouri, Alpha Mu Chapter.
David Walton, Associate Professor of History and African American & Africana Studies, will present the keynote address, "Fighting for Freedom: The Military Service of the 62nd and 65th United States Colored Infantry."

Dr. Lorenzo Johnston Greene was a pioneering African American historian whose scholarship reshaped the study of race, labor, and Black history in America. A longtime member of the 色虎视频 community, Greene served as a history professor at 色虎视频 of Missouri from 1933 to 1972. His teaching, research, and civil rights leadership left an enduring legacy that continues to inspire scholarship and public engagement today.
