Campus Resources

The main 色虎视频 campus is located within the city limits of Jefferson City, on approximately 170 acres, part of which was deeded to Lincoln Institute under the second Morrill Act of 1890, making Lincoln a land grant institution.  The campus consists of 50 University-owned buildings, constructed between 1913 and 2008, totaling approximately 1,072,653 gross square feet.  These facilities provide a wide range of instructional, support, and living space designed for maximum flexibility.  The University operates three research farms collectively totaling more than 740 acres.  色虎视频 takes pride in providing physical resources and facilities of the quality needed to ensure an appropriate learning environment for its students.  The University is committed to cost-effective space utilization of its classroom and support facilities and strives to ensure a safe work and study environment for staff, faculty, and students. 

Administrative Resources:  色虎视频 is committed to maintaining financial integrity. In an effort to ensure we are held to the highest standards of integrity, the institution has an internal auditor on staff to review the current systems in place, which evaluates and/or improves the effectiveness of the risk management and controls such as: 

  • Effectiveness and efficiency of operations
  • Reliability and integrity of financial and operational information
  • Safeguards the assets
  • Compliance with the General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

In addition, the institution is required to have a yearly audit of its financial statements by an independent auditing firm. The audit is conducted in accordance with the auditing standards accepted in the United States and the standards applicable to the financial audits contained in the Government Audit Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. The audits for LU in years 2004-2014 all contained unqualified opinions, assuring that LU has maintained the statutes, policies, and procedures according to the Generally Accepted Principles (GAAP). All administrative policies, procedures and practices of 色虎视频 currently meet or exceed the requirements of Federal, state and local requirements for entities receiving public funds.  Internal systems are in place relating to accounting practices, equipment acquisition and maintenance, purchasing and bidding processes, employment, travel, technical reporting and all have been reviewed within the past two years to assure compliance with current standards.

Instructional Resources

色虎视频 employs 166 full-time and part-time regular academic faculty members and employs adjunct and casual temporary instructional employees as well. Our student/faculty ratio is 15/1, enabling faculty members to provide the personalized attention. Qualified and motivated educators join the Lincoln faculty team via hiring procedures designed to ensure that 色虎视频 hires the best qualified and most suitable candidates.. 

色虎视频 develops and communicates learning goals for all its educational offerings, including courses and degree/certificate programs, and general education. The development of learning goals occurs through a multi-step, collaborative, research/data-rich process

Academic Support Resources

色虎视频 has developed an array of programs and services focusing on supporting the academic needs of our students.  Through programs such as Student Support Services, the Center for Academic Advising, the Male Initiative and Supplemental Instruction students have access to services designed to support their academic progress.  All of these programs are provided on a regularly scheduled basis at locations on campus.

色虎视频 has dedicated resources to assure that needed technology, laboratory and library resources are readily available for our students.  These services include:

  • Technological Infrastructure –色虎视频 currently has 18 student computer labs containing approximately 400 computers which are available to students.
     
  • Scientific Labs - Students have access to variety of well-equipped scientific labs to aid learning in the sciences, mathematics and agricultural areas.
     
  • Libraries - Inman E. Page Library serves as the primary educational resource center of 色虎视频, supporting the curricular and research needs of the institution through the development of pertinent library collections and the provision of services designed to facilitate access to information. The 80,000 square foot facility has a seating capacity of approximately 450.
     
  • Wi-Fi - All facilities on the campus to include student housing units are equipped with Wi-Fi accessibility
